Kellify, a Genoa, Italy-based global science-company that creates and incubates high potential businesses where visual images play a relevant role, has arrived in New York City with a growth plan to strengthen its presence in the US market with a goal of delighting Fortune 100 companies with its computer vision based-apps.
The announcement comes just a few weeks after the opening of Madrid office and the awarding as the #1 scaleup in Italy and one of the Europe’s 100 hottest young scaleups of 2021 by TNW, a Financial Times-backed media company. This scale-up is designing the future of image recognition to make advertisements and ads more effective, to identify trends in artworks, to automate the valuation of real estate and to recognize the inclusivity of visual communication. By launching its computer vision-based apps and services in the United States, Kellify wants to conquer the market by leveraging the power of Gradient, the first AI platform to shine a light on visual communication from a diversity and inclusion (D&I) perspective.
Kellify has invested in creating an office of 3 people in NYC and aims to triple the US team by the end of 2022, strengthening the growth of the company which today has over 50 employees with over 50% joining Kellify during 2021.
“The pain points Kellify is helping to solve are universal and we built our flasghip or brand-new apps to be accessible to everyone,” says Francesco Magagnini, CEO and founder of Kellify. “It’s why we are dealing with ESG topics, such as D&I visual representations, powered by Gradient — combining computer vision and time-to-market. Kellify is also becoming a key service for Automatic Valuation Model (AVM) in the real estate industry, leveraging the power of images, and a game-changer for image recognition industry making ads more effective, as examples”.
Kellify was founded in 2018 by a team of scientists and entrepreneurs from Columbia, Sophia Antipolis, and NASA; the scale-up raised over $9.0m and relies on a team of 50+ people from 10+ countries. Kellify’s tools are spread globally, and for this reason the firm has already established its presence in Genoa (HQ), Madrid, New York, and Seoul.
